Trust in Heavenly Fathers plan

Hey everybody! Hope all your lifes are treating you well! This week has been a little weird because of a lot of changes. There are three different fires surrounding us on the North, South, and East. So there's a ton of smoke in the area. We have been told to stay inside even more than we have been. We can't go out and meet with people in the parks anymore. So our teaching really is ALL on technology through phone calls and zoom. It is definitely weird and different trying to stay inside fully and not being able to see anyone in person. I do know that this will pass and I am so grateful that we live in a time where we still have the ability to talk and meet with people, even if it's not in person. God will always provide a way for his work to be done. I know that he has a plan and everything happens for a reason. I know that we can overcome any trials with faith in Christ and trust in our Heavenly Fathers plan for each of us individualy. I hope everyone has a wonderful week and stays safe. I love you all and know God loves each and every one of you! (Sorry no pics, unless you wanna see a great view of our couch haha)

If Life gets hard . . .

Hey everyone! Hope lifes treating you all well! I know it's kinda crazy right now and things are really different in 2020. But you have to keep a positive mental attitude and you'll make it through. If you ever feel like you can't, then just remember what president Hinkley said. "If life gets too hard to stand, then kneel." Honestly, by sincerely praying and asking for help, God will give you the strength to overcome anything. Anyway this week has been great! We still have to stay inside for the most part. Unless we are doing service(mostly helping people move) or we meet with people we are teaching in a park. Which we do have a couple people who we are doing that with. It is honestly so nice just to go sit in the grass and listen to nature while feeling the spirit. We had this one recent convert from Romania who had got baptized but then didn't sign the conformation papers cause he wasn't  sure if this was something that he really wanted to do.(he said this in like june) well out of the blue we get a text from him saying that he's been praying and asking God if this really was the true church and he said that he was getting answers! We were so excited and met with him in a park to talk about life and hear about what's been going on. It was just a really cool experience and I'm happy I got to be there for it. Well we also went on another hike for P day we went and hiked along the coast line down by the Golden Gate Bridge and Bakers beach. It was soo pretty I love San Francisco so much the more I get to see the more I love it! Well that's all for this week, Everyone take care and be safe! #wearamask

SF Week 2

Hello everyone! I hope everyone back home is doing well. I am doing great myself! I am loving San Francisco! The bay area is so beautiful and amazing, everything is just so unique and very diverse. We are still just trying to find people to teach. It's hard when you can't go outside and meet people on the streets. We are still making it work and still finding some amazing people though. We actually got to go meet up and talk with someone in a park the other day! It was really nice to get out and sit in the sun for a bit. I really do love everybody that we are meeting with! they are so awesome in their own way! We also went on a hike today with our whole zone. We hiked up to a lookout on the coast. It was super fun and so nice to get some fresh air in nature haha. (see pics below) I would like to know how everybody's doing back home so if you'dlike to send an email my way I'd appreciate it.

Love, Elder Lange

I finally made it out on my mission!

Hey everyone I hope you are all doing amazing! Well I finally made it out on my mission! After all that time waiting haha, but I can already tell that it was definitely worth the wait.  I'm serving in the mission district in the San Francisco area. It is such a beautiful place and the people here are awesome! My companion is Elder Frehner he's very smart and can answer a lot of my questions which is great. Other than that we've just been in our apartment because we can't go outside and teach it's all either phone calls or zoom meetings.  It's not that bad though because we can still go outside for walks and stuff like that. I love the people we teach they are all amazing! I hope everyone is doing well back home because I love you guys! (Also check out some of the pics attached)

And I'm outta here!

Elder Lange departed from the Salt Lake City airport at 3:15 pm on July 29th, 2020.  If Covid 19 hadn't happened he would have already been in Zimbabwe for three months.  But he is very excited to serve the people of San Fransisco and Oakland.  Everyone in the family got all dressed up on San Fransisco 49er gear.  Not too hard considering its our favorite team!  We did not shed a tear, we were so excited for him to finally have this opportunity.

We heard from Cade on Thursday night.  So far so good.  His apartment looks out over the city of San Fransisco. He met with his district outside, six feet apart with masks on.  He said they are all super cool.  His companion is Elder Frehner from Nevada.  His trainer is also the district leader and Cade said he is a hard worker.  He's doing good!

He made to Zimbabwe! (from mom's perspective)

You will not believe what Cade had to go through to get to Zimbabwe! He was originally supposed to leave San Francisco, where he was current...
